Welcome!
I am the Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church of Winter Haven, Florida (www.firstwinterhaven.org). I came to Winter Haven on July 1, 2013, after having served for 13 years as the founding pastor of The Crossroads Church in New Port Richey, Florida. My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Bible at Ouachita Baptist University (1993), Arkadelphia, Arkansas, a Master's degree (1996) and Doctor of Philosophy degree (2000) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. In doctoral work, I majored in Evangelism and minored in Preaching. My passion in ministry is to assist people in understanding the life-changing truths of the Bible. I love to teach systematically through the Bible with an emphasis on contemporary life application.
In 2008, I married Jennifer, the love of my life. We have been blessed with four beautiful children, Hope Delaney (born 2010), Jacob Asher (born 2013), Kara Grace (born 2014), and Cal Steven (born 2015).
